McHenry County, IL

McHenry County, IL is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Located toward along the IL/WI border toward the center of the state it offers a wide variety of activities year round. Snowfall can be quite abundant while the summers are warm and exciting. We have fun here.

A number of bike/hiking trails exist. Schools are highly sought after and offer excellent educational opportunities. Over 90% of our residents have a high school degree or higher while more than 30% have at least a Bachelor's Degree.

Ranking 7th in population out of 102 IL Counties, many economic opportunities are available. Rail service takes commuters to Chicago in about 1 1/2 hours from a variety of stations as well. We have a good mix of rural and urban environments.

Comprising of 612 square miles and 6500 acres of surface water coming from 14 major waterways and approximately 1120 ponds or lakes.

Numerous golf courses, 85 park districts, and three state parks are encompassed within.
