Buying distressed homes

For a limited time, Fannie Mae is offering a 3.5 percent incentive to buyers who close on a Fannie Mae-owned home by June 30, 2010. Qualifying homes are listed on the Fannie Mae website, HomePath.com. Buyers may receive up to 3.5 percent of the final sales price for closing costs, the purchase of Whirlpool appliances by Fannie Mae or a combination of the two.
